Follies

Scenic Design: Chelsea Bednar

Romeo & Juliet

Scenic Design: Chelsea Bednar

Theoretical Design

The classic play of star crossed lovers and their feuding families, set in the modern world. With minimalistic architectural structures that would move to alter the space, the story can focus on color coded suits and electoral propaganda to represent the two families.

Curse of the Starving Class

Scenic Design: Chelsea Bednar

Theoretical Design

The tragic drama of a family and the events that ensue. The design envisions the play set in the 1960s, emphasizing the poverty and decay within the concept with a deteriorating, environmentally intoxicating set.

Miss Julie

Scenic Design: Chelsea Bednar

Theoretical Design

A conversation between two people and the events that ensue on a Midsummer's Eve. Set in a naturalistic world, the design focuses on two's mindset, emphasizing their unrealistic realities, visually trapping them on stage.

Oedipus Rex

Scenic Design: Chelsea Bednar

Theoretical Design

Set in a surrealistic, modernist world focusing on the dramatic color story through costumes, lighting, and moving set.

Hedda Gabler

Scenic Design: Chelsea Bednar

Theoretical Design

A aristocratic drama set in the 1890s. As a 'found space' concept, the design focused on a burnt down/decaying house structure, engulfing the audience right into the space, witnessing the deteriorating relationships first hand.
