The butterfly dresser in the windows of Verdigreen (along with another little yellow dresser I helped work on a couple months ago) Working on the gilded butterfly dresser at Verdigreen 🦋 an image that has repeatedly come up throughout this year in life and dreams has been the butterfly. Coincidentally, Azie had wanted to paint a huge orange butterfly on a dresser in the shop, and kindly asked me to do it!
In addition to our early spring window display I painted a collection of wooden bird houses with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint. I started with a base of original chalk paint, then handprinted various floral, colorful details. I waxed & buffed the houses, and as a final touch I added butterfly & bird sticker decals.
